Last week was one of those weeks where everything was planned and happening around the same time! It was a busy, but fun couple of days! The week started off with a little house guest named Walker. This little guy is Jeff's parents dog. He stayed with us Tuesday through Friday while both of Jeff's parents were out of town. He was like my shadow as I cleaned the house for the upcoming weekend. He followed me from room to room as if he was going to miss out on something exciting if he wasn't right by my side. Walker and Jeff played numerous games of fetch and tug of war. I am not sure who was more tired after their marathon games, Jeff or Walker! He was a joy to be around....just what I needed to get my puppy biological clock ticking again!
Friday night, we had a surprise party for one of Jeff's good friends, Aaron. We had about 15 people over, including Brian, one of our friends who now lives in St. Louis. We made a Thai themed dinner complete with chicken and beef Pad Thai, Potstickers, and a Thai Mango Salad. For desert, we had cake balls (red velvet c
ake coated in chocolate). A fan favorite amongst our group of friends, especially Aaron! His girlfriend and another one of our friends came over the night before and we had a cake ball assembly party. All of the food turned out really well and everyone seemed to have a good time!Saturday night, we attended an engagement party for two of our friends, Will and Kristen, who will be getting married in Bloomington this August. The party was a lot of fun! I am so happy for them and excited about their upcoming wedding. They are one of those couples who are made for each other! After we left the engagement party, we went out in Broad Ripple to spend some more time with Brian before he headed back to St Louis and to celebrate Will's birthday. Since we moved to Greenwood, we don't spend as much time in Broad Ripple as we used to. We had a great time spending some extra time with our friends this weekend!
Needless to say, Jeff and I spent a very lazy Sunday doing a whole lot of relaxing! There is nothing like making great memories with our friends!! I am still exhausted from all the excitement from the past couple of days, but I wouldn't trade a minute of it for anything in the world!
